credits: | Compulsory course in the module Biomolecular Materials in the Diploma "Materials Science", the course is also suitable for students of affiliated exchange programmes as well as other study courses, especially in physics, chemistry, biology and nano sciences. The credit points can be acquired if the module examination is successfully passed. The module examination consists of:- an oral examination (duration 15-20 minutes)
- a project (practical)
For the module 4 credit points can be awarded. The module grade is composed of the grades of the examinations: - 50%: oral examination
- 50%: project
The workload is 120 working hours (attendance at lecture and practicals, preparation, self study, preparation for examinations). |
summary: | In der Vorlesung, die durch ein Praktikum begleitet wird, werden die physikalischen Grundlagen der Erzeugung und Eigenschaften von nanostrukturierten Materialien vermittelt. Es werden folgende Themen behandelt: - Skalengesetze, mesoskopische Systeme, Quanteneffekte
- Synthese von Clustern und Nanotubes
- Zustandsdichte und Elektronentransport in niedrigdimensionalen Festkörpern
- Theoretische Grundlagen der Rastertunnel- und Rasterkraftmikroskopie, der chemischen Rasterkraftmikroskopie und der optischen Nahfeldmikroskopie
- Nanostrukturierung mittels Elektronenstrahllithographie, optischer Lithographie und rastermikroskopischer Methoden
- Riesenmagnetwiderstand, Einzelelektronik
- Praktikum zur Rastertunnel- und Rasterkraftmikroskopie
