'"InnoMedTec" - Announcement of Young Investigators Group'

On August 1st, 2012, the newly established interdisciplinary young investigators group "InnoMedTec" has started at the Chair of Materials Science and Nanotechnology and Medical Faculty (Prof. Kirch). The group is funded by the European Social Funds in Saxony (ESF). 10 PhD students and one post-doc researcher will investigate new solutions and the acceptance for future health care challenges. The work includes innovative approaches in fundamental research as well as practical applications to design sensors for health care applications and monitoring. The long-term goal is to design and develop (nanowire based) sensor systems that could be used to improve and facilitate wireless health care surveillance.
