Vietnamese-German Workshop on Water Treatment - A preparatory measure for joint research projects

Prof. Gianaurelio Cuniberti and Dr. Klaus Kühn visited the Hanoi University of Science and Technology for a preparatory workshop on Advanced Oxidation Processes for Water Treatment in Vietnam. Our chair plans to strengthen the cooperation with scientists in Vietnam in the field of water and environmental technology. A kick-off meeting of this cooperation was organized in the framework of this Workshop in the Vietnam-German Center of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Hanoi. In this event, both partners presented their current activities and the planned common research efforts in this exciting research field.

The group picture (clickto enlarge) shows some of the participants in the workshop. In the front row Dr. Le Thi Hoi, office manager of MOST-BMBF cooperation office for water and environmental technology, Dr. Nguyen Minh Tan, our scientific contact partner in Vietnam, and Mrs. Le Thanh Hieu, Representative of Department of Science and Technology of Hanoi (DOST Hanoi) can be seen (3rd to 5th from the left). Dr. Trinh Quang Thong, from Institute of Engineering Physics, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (also alumni from Dresden, last row the 2nd from left).
