Dresden University of Technology
Habilitation, FU Berlin, Germany, 2003
Francesca studied Physics at the University of Genova in Italy. She got her PhD in 1998 at the University of Hannover studying collective electronic excitations on silver surfaces and thin films by ELS-LEED.
In 1999 she joined the Free University in Berlin as assistant, working on the manipulation of single molecules by scanning tunnelling microscope at low temperature. There she got her Habilitation in Experimental Physics in 2003.
In 2006 she left the FU-Berlin and worked at Qimonda in Dresden on the development of DRAM memory chips.
Since 2009 Francesca leads the "Molecular Electronics, Molecular Manipulation and Nanomachines" group at our chair, investigating electronic and mechanical properties of single molecules at surfaces.
