Image Competition Prices for our Chair

Julian Schütt wins a price for being among the best three submissions of the Scientific Image Competition 2016 organized by Cluster of Excellence "cfaed" (Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden). The image describes the conjunction of miniature nanosensors and droplet-based microfluidic systems that conceptually opens a new route toward sensitive, optics-less analysis of biochemical processes with high throughput. In this approach a single device can be employed for probing of thousands of independent reactors (J. Schütt et al. Nano Lett., 2016, 16 (8), pp 4991–5000).

In addition, three scientific images from our scanning tunneling microscopy group led by Dr. Francesca Moresco are now featured on the official cfaed wall paper for 2017.
See announcement on the cfaed website.
