Andres Ortega-Guerrero studied Electronics Engineering in the Universidad del Valle (Cali-Colombia) from 2008 to 2014. He got his Diploma on "Simulation of the interaction between a carbon nanotube and an ion channel" as a member of the Bionanoelectronics Research Group of Prof. Jaime Velasco-Medina. Currently he is enrolled in the Erasmus Mundus Master of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, a joined degree offered by the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and the Technische Universität Dresden (Germany). In February 2017, for his master thesis, he joined the group of Prof. Gianaurelio Cuniberti under the supervision of Dr. Alexander Croy. In Dresden, he plans to develop a computational study of monomers as building blocks for 2D polymers confined on the surface of water.
