Brief Bio:

Andrii studied theoretical Physics at the Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv (Ukraine) from 2003 to 2008. He got his Diploma on the "Instability of the filled liquid crystals against modulated structures formation" with Prof. Viktor Reshetnyak. He started his PhD at the Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv (Ukraine) in 2008 and continued to work in the group of Prof. Viktor Reshetnyak. There, he primary worked on self-organization processes of the liquid crystal nanocolloids and ferronematics under the external magnetic fields. In 2011, after defending his PhD thesis, he joined the group of Jean-Louis Pichard at CEA-Saclay (France). There he theoreticaly studied transport properties of the electronic mesoscopic systems such as quantum dots, quantum point contacts, electron interferometry with the scanning gate microscopy.

In January 2014 Andrii joined the group of Prof. Cuniberti. He plans to do mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of the charge transport and electronic properties of dangling bond wires on silicon surfaces under applied AC-fields.
