Brief Bio:Sascha Balakin studied material science at the TU Dresden from 2009 to 2016 and joined our group in July 2016 as a PhD student. He dealt with the bioconjugation of nanomaterials, the development of functional coatings, and the characterization of the cell-material interactions. In July 2020, after defending his PhD thesis, he continued his work as a postdoctoral researcher in the fields of label-free electrical biosensors and functional carbon-based nanomaterials.
