Brief Bio:

Sebastian Pregl finished his study of physics at the LMU Munich in July 2009. His diploma thesis was the implementation of an infrared detection system in an existing experiment for time resolved pump/probe- spectroscopy with broadband femtosecond IR-laserpulses for research on ultrafast processes in biological systems such as peptids and proteins at the chair "biomolecular optics", Prof.Dr. Wolfgang Zinth, at the LMU. Special research areas at the BMO chair where photo induced electron transfer between acceptor and donor systems and dye semiconductor interfaces as well as photo induced protein folding reactions and isomerisation processes of peptids and molecules. Part of his diploma thesis was also programming a new measuring software with LabVIEW.

In march 2010, he joined the group of Prof. Cuniberti as a PhD student within the InnovaSens project. In Dresden, he plans to work on the fabrication and electical investigation of nanowire sensor devices. Part of his work will be done at the NaMLab gGmbH.
