Dr. Ing., 2015

Brief Bio:

Thomas studied physics at the Dresden University of Technology. He worked in the thin films group of Dr. Fähler at Prof. Schultz' Institute for Solid State Research of the IFW Dresden and got his diploma "Phase formation and magnetism of thin films within the Fe-Pd system". Later he joined the electrochemistry group of Prof. Ehrenberg at the Institute for Complex Materials at the IFW Dresden were he finished his PhD-thesis in Material Science on "Oxygen transport in Li-O2-cells: A computer model supported experimental study" in 2015. End of 2015 Thomas became a member of Dr. Bobeth's group of computational material science, where he works on developing models for a range of electrochemical problems such as Lithium-ion cells, electrodeposition and trench superfilling.
