Dr.
Dmitry Ryndyk

former Research associate

Exit date:None - June 30, 2024
Group: computational materials science and theoretical nanophysics

Dmitry Ryndyk studied Physics at the University of Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) and at the Institute for Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He got his Diploma on the "Collective Josephson effect in superconducting micronetworks" with Prof. Vladislav Kurin. His Ph.D. thesis was devoted to the "Nonequilibrium effects in the dynamics of Josephson structures" and was defended in 2000 at the Institute for Physics of Microstructures of the Russian Academy of Sciences. As a postdoc Dmitry joined the group of Prof. Joachim Keller at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, University of Regensburg to work in the field of nonequilbrium superconductivity and the theory of Intrinsic Josephson effect. From 2004 he continued to work in Regensburg in the groups of Dr. Gianaurelio Cuniberti and Prof. Klaus Richter in the field of quantum transport and molecular electronics. Dmitry finished the Habilitation at the University of Regensburg. From July 2012 Dmitry Ryndyk is a senior scientist and group leader Nanoscale Modeling at the chair of Prof. Gianaurelio Cuniberti in Dresden. His main research interests include the theory of quantum transport at nanoscale, quantum molecular and low-dimensional nanostructures, carbon nanostructures, planar and surface molecular electronics, nonequilibrium superconductivity and other related topics.
