It is with profound sorrow that our colleague and friend Eugenia Bezugly passed away on October 11, 2018. In these difficult hours, our thoughts and prayers are with her husband Viktor, their three sons and their whole family.
Eugenia studied Industrial Pharmacy at the Ukrainian Pharmaceutical University in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and obtained her PhD in Chemistry in 2008 at TU Dresden. After several years in industry, she joined our chair in September 2015 to manage the start-up project ProNT. In 2017, Eugenia, Viktor and their team attracted a Life Science Incubator Saxony grant and moved to own labs and offices nearby in Freital, where they established the start-up company "e-Chemical Pool UG".
We will always remember Eugenia as a dedicated scientist, esteemed colleague and a caring wife and mother.
