Federico Milanese earned his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 2023. During the undergraduate studies he has done an "Excellence program" at the "NSC Lab", under the supervision of Prof. Ilaria Fratoddi, an extracurricular activity in which he did an experimental work about the synthesis and characterization of hydrophilic, and hydrophobic, gold nanoparticles. He joined the group of Prof. Gianaurelio Cuniberti in February 2025 as a Master's degree Erasmus student, in collaboration with Prof.ssa Ilaria Fratoddi. In Dresden, he is going to do a consistent work on his functionalized hydrophobic gold nanoparticles, synthesized at the "NSC Lab", for sensing applications.
