Jakub studied Technical Physics with a specialization in Nanoengineering at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. He obtained his B. Sc. in 2023 with the thesis “Chiral Microscopy of Nanostructures”, in which he investigated the chiroptical properties of nanostructures using multiphoton fluorescence microscopy. After graduating, he started his M. Sc. in Physics at TU Dresden. He joined the Chair of Materials Science and Nanotechnology as a student assistant in the Digital Olfaction group. His tasks included data collection and analysis, and applying machine learning techniques. From February to August 2024, he spent a semester abroad in Taiwan as part of the STIPT program. Upon his return, he resumed work at the chair, focusing on the application of Spiking Neural Networks for odor discrimination.
