Kossi Mawouena Samuel Afola is a Master’s student in Physics of Life at TU Dresden. He holds an MSc in Mathematical Sciences from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Ghana, where he worked on machine learning models for clinical cardiovascular disease risk prediction. He has industry experience in real-time data pipelines at Data Lab Togo and in AI system development at Umbaji Research. His current focus is on biophysics and quantitative modeling of complex biological systems. He is particularly interested in integrating machine learning with nanoscale sensing technologies for healthcare applications. He is currently an intern in the Sniffing Robot Dog project and prostate cancer diagnosis by e-Nose technology at the Chair of Materials Science and Nanotechnology.
