| Group: | computational materials science and theoretical nanophysics |
Marieta Gheorghe is a physicist whose work has focused on nanoscale charge transport and electron phonon interactions in molecular and carbon based nanostructures. She completed her PhD at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in late 2003 under Prof. Aldo Di Carlo. In early 2004 she joined the Molecular Computing Group in Regensburg, working on transport in carbon nanotubes, including vibrational effects relevant for nanoelectronic devices. Her research sits at the interface of quantum transport theory, materials modelling, and device level understanding of nanosystems.
