Steffen Kampmann studied materials science at TU Dresden. During his studies, he worked as student assistant at the Institute of Materials Science (IfWW) and the Institute for Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK) at TU Dresden. He completed his internship in the research department of Daimler AG at research centre in Ulm. In his diploma thesis he was working on the micromechanical fatigue behavior of steel at the research center of Robert Bosch GmbH in Renningen.
He works at Prof. G. Cuniberti's chair in Dr. Croy and Dr. Gutierrez's group on the multi-scale investigation and description of material properties.
