Yuyu Liu got her Bachelor of Engineering at Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, China) in 2012. Right after that, she was awarded a cat A scholarship by the Erasmus Mundus Master of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology consortium to pursue Master in Nanoelectronics. She completed the 1st year of Master at KU Leuven (Belgium), during which she attended a project at IMEC (Belgium) about nanoimprint lithography for light trapping in crystalline silicon solar cells. In the summer of 2013, she did an internship at Evonik (China). She started the 2nd year of the Master at TU Dresden from October, 2013 and has joined the group of Prof. Gianaurelio Cuniberti working on aptamer based detection of proteins using Si nanowire platform.
