On Friday, September 20, 2024, we had our traditional annual chair project day. This year, we headed for the beautiful town of Radebeul and its surroundings.
In the morning, we took the train to Radebeul- Weintraube from where we walked up the hill crossing the vineyards to Bismarckturm and enjoyed the breathtaking view across the Elbe river valley. After crossing the picturesque Lößnitztal, we had the lunch break at a pittoresque wine tavern and continued our route to the Radebeul observatory. There, we got to see the current night sky and the latest constellations, planets and the moon, along with the newest astronomy images and information. The day was concluded in a garden restaurant in Radebeul-Kötzschenbroda with some delicious food and drinks.
