Brief Bio:

Lea started studying Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Applied Sciences Isny, Germany, in 2008 and got her diploma degree in 2012. She made her Diploma thesis, with the title "Humane cell therapeutics: Innovative methods to guarantee the bacteriological safety" at the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute, Langen in the group of Prof. Ralf R. Tönjes. In February 2013 she joined the group of Dr. Annett Gebert at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden, as a PhD student. Her research focus lies on the development of bio-active layers on titanium-based implant alloys.
