Brief Bio:

Thomas studied Physics at the TU Dresden from 2008 to 2013 and joined our group as a Diploma student in July 2012. His work focussed on NEGF, MD and DFT methods and quantum transport in carbon nanostructures. He finished his thesis on 'Ab initio and transport models for graphene nanoribbons under mechanical stress and defects' in the group of Dmitry Ryndyk. Since January 2014, Thomas is a PhD student at our chair in cooperation with the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) and the iEGSEMP Korea working on 'Planar molecular electronics'.
