Sensing biomolecules with nanowires

10. Dresdner Sensor-Symposium | event contribution
Dec. 6, 2011 | Dresden, Germany

Efficient diagnostics of the diseases at the early stages remains a challenging task for the medicine, biology and material science. This implies the need for the development of novel methods capable of the detection of biomolecules up to femtomolar concentrations. We pursue the concept of nanowire-based biosensing platforms, using: (i) semiconductor nanowires; (ii) metal nanowires.
