The presentation is focused on principles for adjustment and measurement of liquid flows in the range of 1 to 50 nl/min. Based on several projects for drug delivery using implantable infusion pumps the group of Prof. Nestler developed some components and measuring techniques for these purposes during the last years. The talk will introduce concepts for adjustable flow restrictors based on porous ceramics as well as methods to measure low flows or rapid changing flow rates. Finally fluidic aspects of a project for the calibration of pulse-oximeters will be introduced.
