As individual companies, Hitachi and ABB have been leaders in innovating and improving technology for over a century. Together, as Hitachi ABB Power Grids, we bring forward this long and rich heritage in pioneering expertise to tackle today’s urgent challenges facing customers and society. Hitachi ABB Power Grids has research centers located at six different locations (CH, DE, SWE, IN, CN, US) in the world. Our group at Swiss research center (CHPGR) focus mostly on R&D activities related to High voltage gas insulated switchgears. We work both on experiments and simulation focusing on this topic. In this presentation, I will give a brief introduction of our team and research directions.
