

The boOst Startup Factory has been created to raise the number of Central German startups created per year from 100 to 200 including at least 50 deep tech startups. We collaborate with regional research institutions, companies, and investors, to contribute to the region’s innovation capacity, enable growth, and retain value creation in Central Germany long-term.
The talk will introduce the boOst Startup Factory and highlight how research teams can find a path from scientists to becoming deep-tech entrepreneurs.
Dr. Stefan Ferdinand Müller is founder and former CEO/CTO of Ferroelectric Memory GmbH (FMC), a Spinoff from TU Dresden in the area of memory technology. During the last 14 years, he was involved in research, development and commercialization of a novel ferroelectric material for data storage. Since 2025, he supports the “boOst Startup Factory” as Semiconductor Track Manager and passes on his experience to science-based teams aiming to form new startups.
