The public lecture series at the TU Dresden along with the exhibition BILDTAKTIK started with this opening lecture on Smeller as an encounter of science and art. The audience remained alert for as much as two hours. The Q+A was a pleasure. And promising ideas have arisen. A stream is underway. Dresden seems to be fertile soil for interdisciplinary endeavors and steps into the unknown.
